Ok, my friend is gettin a '85 Dodge Omni GLH. the thing is old/beat up; has a hole in the floor, seats arnt bolted down... but it does have a turbo, but it know its not a stock one like on the GLHS. he says this 4 cyl will walk all over my '00 camaro 3.8 and my other friends '05 mustang 4.0. i know my camaro is nothing special but its puttin out 200 HP and his 24+ year old turbocharged 4 cyl is puttin out a "claimed 175 HP" will this guy really beat a camaro 3.8 and a 4.0 stang!?!?

 

If it is a GLH, then yes it stands a very good chance of beating your car even it is stock. Just FYI, I could make one those cars run mid-low 13's for under $1000 very easy. They are light and can be fast easy and cheap.

 

A lot depends on condition. Turbocharged car's don't like to be neglected and the car may be near the end of its life if she has not been taken are of.

NEVER underestimate a turbo car. the Omni GLHS was good for a mid 15 second 1/4 mile stock. just because he's running a small engine doesn't mean he has no powerband, boost changes that quite a bit.
