Real RS??

Default Real RS??

Is there any way to tell if I have a real RS or not? Would it state on the cowl plate?

i dont think it does,pull the headlight switch out and see if it has vacuum lines on it and if its the factory switch...does the car have all the markings of a rs such as reverse lights under the bumper and double red tail lights and trim?

What year? What does the cowl tag say? ( usually wont lead to too much, but it might have some usefull info) any pic's?

The car is just a shell. I bought it off a buddy of mine who was using it as a parts car. He sold the car and had the shell left and I bought that. He said it was a real RS I was hoping that I could find some info to find out for sure.

I understand. So do you have any pic's? What kind of brakes does it have - drum or disk? Do you have the front clip? headlights or anything like that?

If it's a 67 you can verify the information off the trim tag on the fire wall, if its a 68 or 69 you will have to verify by other means the lower valances, headlights, brakes ect. this web site should help you out. http://www.chevy-camaro.com/chevy-ca...ecode-1967.asp

true however, I have heard somewhere that sometimes these tags werent marked for some of the year. Like the second half I thing. Or maybe its just on the 69. I could be wrong.

That may be very true my car is a very early model and it is my understanding that things like that did change during production. Good point!
