a 90-93 3000gt SL runs mid 16's in the 1/4 with a 0-60 time higher than 8 seconds. SO unless your driving a VR-4 and dont know it you wouldnt stand a chance against a 4th gen v8

 

no-ones disisng a 3000GT, they can be badass cars. we're dissing your lying ***.

edit - and btw, my friend has a stealth coverted to a 3000GT, real good looking car, cost him aroun 8k to do the non-turbo conversion, he could keep up to my ION, neck and neck, and i beat him by about 3 cars int he camaro. i will admit though, he beat a 95/97 turbo eclipse. by about a nose length. then lsot to him the next 2 races by about 2 cars. driver's race.

and btw, the ION is only ~150HP and ~145TQ at crank. and the 3000GT only kept up. do the math.

well i wouldnt say 15 seconds i bet i could pull 14s outta it but yea i really did beat that camaro in my gt... whether it was his car/or driver error w/e i know he looked over at me with a nasty look on his face all pist off.... n AV95z... the sl is same car as mine except it weighs more then the base model due to active aero/leather interior about 400-500 lbs more, same engine trans.....so that puts me lighter then sl/vr4 which give slight advantage

 

lying ***? i havent lied on here. not my fault u cant face the fact the i took the mid 90s camaro. w/e i dont care. fact is quit cring bc u dont have a twin turbo setup on ur craparo. im glad u guys r losing to a v6 setup really must **** u v8 gas hogs off huh? oh well obviously u guys keep tring to throw in statistics on the 3000gts but none of em r even true.. try researching ur facts b4 u open ur mouth mullet drivers

 

I'm not saying you didn't beat that Camaro. I'm saying that Camaro was a V6.

Man, what an ***. You're the one who's not up on their facts. That Camaro you beat was a V6. Your stock 3.0L six banger can't hang with an LT1. Like I said before, 285rwhp > 222fwhp.

First off I really don't care what you say LT1's suck at top end. I have a stock LS1 SS M6 and I'll drag your POS across the finish any day! I'm not saying your car can't beat camaros or ****stangs. But you should really learn to shut your mouth when need be.I've raced 3000Gt's and you want to talk about slow? I even keep up with R6's til 140. Your car is slow and its FWD!!!! I'll also be more than happy to come out wherever you live and show you what a V8 can do this summer.

im sorry, a 160HP car that weighs 3500 runs faster than a 16sec with massive front wheel spin? dont think so. fix the spin and ill beleave a mid 15.

as for the VR4, thats a diiferent story.. AWD = cheap way out of TQ.
