Factory red-line is 6000. Cutoff isn't until 6200. Been that way 03-05. Funny thing is that the motor is safe to at least 7400 in it's stock form, but it just doesn't make any power up there. I'm not sure of the weight difference between the open diff and the Quaife from 03-04, although I'm sure the extra volume of the Quaife is mostly replaced by fluid anyway with the open diff. And 70 lbs, I won't argue. If you have floor mats, fuzzy dice,and some extra dirt on the undercarriage, on the car, in the carpet, etc. that would make 70 lbs. Not worth arguing at that point.

it is possible that the 03 srt-4 is lighter, it did not come with lsd. but 04 and 05's should be the same weight if they have the same options.rev limit is the same for all 3 years the srt-4 neonwas made.

The NV-T850 is a heavy trans for the car it's in. Meanwhile, my neon was factory N/A, so I have the T-350. HUGE difference. I can bench press it into place with ease, and I'm only 165 lbs. My car is 2450lbs. It's stripped bare behind the front seats, but that was probably only about 150 lbs of crap. Just goes to show how heavy the trans and options are.

I stand corrected on a few details thanx. C&D did run a factory SRT4 to a 13.5 and I have seen someone in a stock one (a chick no less) do a 13.5 as well. VERY hard to pull off, but it is possible. But anyway point being were not trying to flame anyone here, but I think we made our point......... Jeezus, neon guys crawling out of the woodwork here. I thought this was the camaro forums

idk about the z28 and that srt's race but the srt 4'a have a lot of potential my good friend has one. Which has bigger front mount inner cooler (fmic). agp waste gate, aem standalone, bigger injectors. and 3' back. His made just shy of 300 whp and over well over 300 in torque. it has ridiculous torque steer!! we have taken out some nice v8's! but it does have its problems
