Default camaro vs. trans am?

i havnt done a whole lot of research on the trans ams, but i know they have similar engines as the 4th gen camaros and are pretty fast cars. my buddy has a 4th gen trans am and is always bragging about how fast it is, would a stock z28 beat it in a race?

I'd say two identically equipped cars it would be a tight race. A small advantage to the Camaro because they are just a tad bit lighter.

What years are the cars? They're the same cars with different body panels. The Camaro is slightly lighter, but not enough to make a big difference. How good is your driver mod?

If their in the same generation (93-97, 98-02), Then they are exactly the same with a different look. Identical engine, Identical suspension, Identical haha. Different looks and Camaro is a smidgeon lighter (almost negligible). If he doesn't have any mods.. It should be a tight race and depend on driver. They have exact same 1/4 times and top speeds.
