Spec, it has AWD...we all know that gives you the most massive advantage in the world. If it has AWD, it's obviously faster than any stupid RWD piece of crap right. I mean...top fuelers run AWD right?!?

That's a good idea, I highly recommend swapping out your V8 for a 4 cylinder as well, it will weigh less.

 

Thanks for the advice. I will start tearing out the LS1 right now. I think a Honda B16 swap would be the way to go. I mean it is a lot lighter and i can turn like 8000RPM's and make like 140 torque. Buts its all about the power weight ratio right.

its not power to weight RATIO.... if you use the word ratio then you have to actually compare the two numbers to see how they work out. instead we just arbitrarily shout "power to weight!" after every argument, and in so doing we can ignore the fact that a 350hp 3300lbs stock ls1 fbody has a better ratio than a 220hp 2800lbs civic H22 swapped civic. or hell, lets even give him the 220hp in the 2200lbs 80's hatch. 350/3300 > 220/2200.

maybe i should get an intake, 4" turbo back, swap the wastegate spring (only up to a 25psi spring) and tuner for my truck and run him. might be a good race

what transmission should i go with ? i want one with 16 gears like those honda guys have
