deffinatly sounds like something is up I tested mine shortly after I got it just to see can do 45 with it just short of red line in 1st and 85 in 2nd and 3rd took me all the way to 135 or so. So ya at 50 you really should have no problems in D at all

I think its the sound of the aftermarket exhaust that tempts me to change it to OD. So you guys are saying I shouldn't shift from D to OD at all if I'm racing? How do all of you drive on the highway? Do you guys pop it into OD?

OD is just s cruising gear, it was never meant nor designed to be used in a race.

Roger that, I tested it on my to and from work today. Had no problems gettin up to 90 before lettin off the throttle, I also felt a noticeable difference in throttle response and power in D as opposed to OD. This was the first time I hit the highway going 60-65 in D, the exhaust is meaaaaan at around 3,000 rpm's

yep just keep an eye on the tach as long as you are not in the red you have no worries not what the car sounds like. OD is a crusing gear as JD said and personally my car is in D 99% of the time, but when racing it goes to D

Did you mean personally your car is in OD 99% of the time and in D when you race? I think thats what you meant. Yeah i'm just below 3,000 rpm's at 60 mph and its mean, I love it. I just wish the exhaust sounded meaner at lower rpm's when I'm cruisin the strip or idling. Hopefully some headers and a y-pipe will add to the lower rpm sound a bit. But I think it'd be better on the engine cruising in OD going to and from work. Do you get better gas mileage cruising in OD as opposed to D?

yes you got it right i am in od 99% of the time.yes you will get better gas mileage in OD because the engine is running at a lower RPM so it's not working as hard. headers and such should also give it a better tone threw a wider range.
