I'm used to it. Hell, I drive a neon. And as awkward as it may be to drive a fast neon, it makes it that much funnier when I get called out by a muscle car and win. I mean, seriously, if it's so bad to have a neon, it must be worse to get beat by one...

 

ya, there are some cars that are set up nearly perfectly, and then there are the ricers that you want to just shoot in the face. i've riden in my friends B16 powered CRX, and that thing was pretty dang quick. the entire car was stock except for 16" rims and tires and a 1" drop coil-over kit front and rear. he had a really cool exhaust setup too, it was factory sounding until he hit around 5500rpms, then it went loud

Well, I'm sorry you have a bug up your ***. I posted this here in hopes that the person I was goofing around with on the highway would read it, and I'm pretty sure this is the better place for him to find it than a neon forum.

For the record, it's not an SRT-4. It's faster than a stock one, but an SRT-4, it is not.

Yes, Neons were the least expensive Dodge model. I'm pretty sure that the Grand Caravan was not. Are you implying that the Grand Caravan would be a better car to drive? That it's faster? That it would work better to pick up girls in? (Considering you're looking for 17-20 year old girls that may be true. Better to take them to soccer practice in)

I never posted that I won. That wasn't the point of the post. In fact, we never managed to get a clean run in. The only time we were lined up exactly, he did something goofy (like downshifted too far or something) and ended up slowing down before pulling, so I just let off. When we pulled to 150mph, he took off first, and I chased. I think he let off for a moment waiting for me to catch up, and didn't expect me to actually have power. He jumped on it as I passed, losing probably 2 lengths in the process, but seeing as I was 10 lengths or more ahead by 150mph, I imagine I would have probably won, even if we had raced fairly. He was at the weight disadvantage though, with a passenger in his car, and all I had for extra weight was a laptop, a set of autocross slicks, and a helmet.

And lastly, I don't need to use my car to get laid. If that's your only motivation for owning a performance vehicle, maybe you should just sell the Camaro and use the car payment money on an escort service. At least then it's a sure bet.
