Not only is the LT1 going to be 15 years older, think about all the miles.
I'm sure not every LT1 is running just like it used to...
Find a showroom stock one with low miles and put up a race I say!

AMEN, ponys get old after the years. 15 years...Would you say that the LT1 is the equivilent of the 06 Mustang as far as being mildly high-preformance stock, as the LT1 was for 15 years ago? If you do, then having a 15 year old car, competing with a much more advanced car of the same class is a feat. Just to be in comparison is cooool! [8D] Just a thought

When I had my 97 Z28 I walked all over mustangs, only cobras could beat me. All it had were edelbrock headers no cat and 3 inch exhaust in a flowmaster 40 and then a bbk 58mm t/b. For most of the edge style mustangs I could put up to 2 or 3 cars on them by 60. It doesnt count for much since on the street you never know if the other guy is shifting early or even trying, but I never lost to anything less than a cobra.
