Carguy.... The only ? I have is that when you mod your car why do they tell you to go with a taller gear then? If smaller gears are better why put a bigger gears in to go slower? That doesn't make much sense!

 

It depends on what you want out of your car, If you want raw acceleration, go with a 4.56 or similar, if you want top end, go with a 223 or similar...

Thats what im trying to say... If you have 600 HP and put a 4 speed auto and say 456 gears, you may only top out at 130 MPH, but if you switch nothing but the rear end, to say a 2.23, then you will have say 170 MPH or so... But your 0-60 Times will be hurt...

Or be like me and pick one in the middle lol. I can't remember if my gears are 3.23 or 3.42... Most common was a 3.08 in the V6 cars but optional 3.23 or 3.42... But I know I don't have the 3.08. Even with the higher gear ratio, my car hits 120(electronic limit =\) in 3rd gear with some RPMs to spare =P It just all depends on your gear ratio tbh

with my mods I trash SRT Chargers in the 1/4 and 0-150 (I have never gone over 150)

 

wow dude either you have a reallyscrewed vette (like messing up), the other dude wants stock, you cant drive, or you confused an SRT-8 with and R/t

I was able to take an R/t (stock) with our old C5 (2000 conv auto dirt stock) they're heavy *** cars. i cam should keep up esp if its modded

now an SRT-8 thats another story thats GTO territory or 2010 Camaro

 

Son, I work for a GM plant... Ive driven more extreemly fast cars than you have probably SEEN...Z06 Vettes, 1LE Camaro's, etc...Im sure I can drive ok LOL... Ill get a chance at the New ZR1 Corvette in 2 months... Cant wait for that one, 600HP factory supercharged LS9..... Yes... LS9...

 

haha wow that sounds awesome. does GM still like set you guys up financialy for like lif? my grandpa worked for GM as some manager type thing (salary) in them olden days and we're still getting the discounts and the GMAC accounts with 5% interest etc. if so thats really good.

Z06s are nice we looked at one a few weeks ago but the ZR1 is going to be completely badass

is that the one that they were first calling the Corvette SS or is that something entirely different?
