so this girl im going out with, her friend(a guy) wants to race me. I have a 93 z28 and he has a 04 mustang with a v6, and he thinks i MIGHT be able to beat him, all i could do was laugh at this point, the only mods he has are headers and a cold air intake, i have a K & N cold air intake as well as a msd ignition(distributor, plugs, coil).How much hp does a 04 mustang with a 6 even put out ? what do you guys think about this ?

p.s. this kid is like 16/17 so he obviously doesnt know too much

 

An 04 Mustang with a v6 comes with 193hp, which is about 170-175rwhp. Then add his headers and intake, he might have about 185 to the wheels, which you outnumber him in horsepower by a good amount. If he is a 5spd than I'd say he could run a 15.4-15.6, which you should be low 14's to high 13's, so whatever you do, dont worry about it, its an easy kill. And this is comin from a guy with a Mustang.

 

Thats funny he even thinks that :P .. youll burn him, if he had a GT itd be more of a race

 

yeah but even the new GTs in my personal opinion arent that great stock.

 

The run between 13.4-13.7 stock with a decent driver. Average driver would probably run 13.6-13.8. There has even been one guy to run 13.1x stock with an 05 GT.

 

a few weeks ago i was at my local strip and saw 3 (all stock) and none of them broke into the 13s. bad first impression i guess

 

im gonna see if this kid has as much brain as he does *****

 

he might run a 15? yea he doesnt have much of a brain at all if he thinks he can outrun you... school him

 

since when is a v6 mustang a race car it is and always will be the economic model, even the gt is 4.slowwwwwww!!!!!1

 

My brother has an 06 V6 mustang the best run he could get out of that with a kn and axle back is 15.34,

He only hit that once and most of his other runs were high 15's.

AND thats only if he doesn't smoke the **** out of those pos stock tires
