haha I had 2 3000GT's before I became a camaro owner... I had a '93 and a '95... the '93 was an auto and a dog... woulda been eaten by a 3.8... the '95 was a stick and had more hp. woulda been a closer ride but the 3.8 with a stick woulda took it.

well 3kgt are getting way overmatched nowadays since companies arent developing as many parts. but yes i am a thread digger muahahaha. sorry i just switched over from the 3si organization to the Camaro forum yay so i gotta play catch up and 3kgt are something i know alot about. I agree with niteman.... 3kgt with a manual wins over auto camaro but if both are manual torque and lighter weight of the Camaro beat the tank of a 3kgt. (this given that both drivers are of equal skill.)

My Camaro is an auto :P Thing about an auto Camaro, it's more torquey than the manual. My car will only run maybe .2 behind a manual in the quarter. If that.

Haha why do people assume auto is faster than manual? Set up properly won't an auto beat a manual every time? With no chance of stalling/missing a shift?

If you can outshift an auto, we're gonna make some money off you... An auto is a bit slower because it takes a big longer to get into the powerband. But GM knew what they were doing when they built their autos and with the right launch can run close to the same time as the manual. An auto with a stall, firm shifts, and good tires will eat a manual all day long

because of the way its designed the auto can never transfer all of the power from the engine to the differential. it has a higher% loss of power through it.

So if their the same power, the autos won't be as powerful? But quicker and more consistent.
