They've done stranger things in the past like building three different big blocks with different variations of each 427/428/429 and a couple different small blocks at the same time like the 351 Windsor and 351 Cleavland so who knows.
Of course that was then and this is now but we are talking about Ford here.

is this new 302 just a stroker? how do they intend to keep the weight down with a larger engine?

Uh... I'm pretty sure Saleen already makes a 5.0L BOSS.. I saw one in Oregon on a dealer trade to Landmark Ford in Tigard. They are a Saleen certified dealership. It was more or less a Parnelli Jones replica without the numbers and what not.

As for the 2011 Mustang, just like the 2010, I doubt they will see much power gains. Gaining what almost 100hp is too expensive for them... I believe if I remember correctly the 2010 was supposed to be closer to 350hp in the first review of the idea.

yeah the 2010 is suppose to be 315... not much lol and its basically ugly... But the rumors for the 2011 (which imo, would be much closer to 2014) are for a 5.0 with 400 and a ecoboost 3.5L V6 (355hp) thats not in the Taurus... but either way, Ford wouldnt announce this until the 2010 has been out, otherwise...it would totally kill the sales and Ford has the nice momentum.. and ford being cheap..umm Theres a reason why they arent going bankrupt and having had BEGGED for a bailout...hell all they wanted was a loan in case things died with the other two dumbf*ck companies. =]

I'd love to see a turbo option for the new stangs.

The real worry should be that Ford will actually get the 2011 stang into production before the 2010 camaro.

We were actually giving away free stock to people who bought new cars in December lol. They are also supposed to turbo the Fusion (Fusion GT i think) not sure about the Focus.
