Default Who makes a quality 19212300 Distributor Assembly for 1997 Camaro Z--Help appreciated

I have seen numerous threads & posts regarding replacing the original 19212300 opti spark distributor.I have also seen lots of HORROR posts regarding replacing these. I just spent some 8 Hrs & I have a car that skips during acceleration now. YES, I replaced the coil as well as the crank sensor too ! Now, I am getting codes PO1371 & PO336. I have yet to see any posts where folks have said that they had consistent positive results from using any other brand of distributor from any one else than an original AC Delco. I see these priced from 45.00 to $545.00 ---& I also see that the originals were discontinued.

So, is it possible to get 5 members ( I'd settle for 3) that say that brand "X" worked fine for them ??

I would REALLY APPRECIATE some feedback guys----- I won't do this nonsense a 3rd time. Perhaps someone rebuilds these ??

Thanks in advance for your help here.

The China knock offs are junk. GM still makes the best.

I've used an MSD opti and it worked great. The thing is built like a tank (thick billet aluminum) compared to the GM unit. The higher cost is a factor, but I had found one for a steal and couldn't pass it up.
