is this intake as good as a k&n or an slp? i am trying not to spend alot of money on an intake and i found this on ebay.

it may not be quite as good but it is definitely close
so that is what i got and I love it. sweet sound and faster throttle response

yeah thats the cheap ebay intake.If you cant afford the k&n or slp go ahead and get that one.Its better than stock either way, but chrome gets hot and soaks up heat so im not sure how long it would be a cold air intake.

i only have enough money for the slp or the chrome intake. should i get the slp instead of the chrome intake? is the slp nicer?

That "Chrome Intakes" description and pictures are a little vague. Aren't they putting the cone filter where the stock air box was sitting? If so, that's not a cold air intake. Cold air intakes grab air from outside the engine compartment.

true, my K&N acctually below where my airbox was. right above that plastic pannel under the bumer. any further away from the motor it would be outside the car...

i have one of those eBay cold air intake and it actual sits below the headlight actual right in the box were your fog lights go
so that is probably as far away as you can get

You get what you pay for...

That intake is better than the stock (note: Chrome Intakes sells multiple varieties even for the same model of car, so make sure you get the COLD AIR intake), but the K&N or Moroso is going to flow better. Flow has to do with the cross sectional area as well as the smoothness of the tube you're putting it through, so keep that in mind.
