I agree with you too GA.... I don't consider something to be someone's car until they put some time and effort into it. My truck is pretty much un-changed in appearance but I've put a lot of sweat into that thing, swapping heads on it, new carburetor, intake, distributer, a new radio.... and it really is MY truck. Really, MY truck, no one drives it but me. No one even washes it, fills it with gas, or pays for my gas while I'm around.

 

yeah no one touches my car...i have a mechanic buddy that helps me do things to my car...but i keep my eye on him the whole time. my girlfriend might stand there and spray it with a hose, but that's it. she always freaks out when i whip the *** end around and says you're going to kill us blah blah...first off...i know exactly how my car will react so neither of us are in danger. 2nd...my car is my baby, do you honestly think i'd put you, me, or my car in danger? yeah no, lol

 

yep, same here. I know what it likes, and I know what it doesn't like... my truck likes to haul stuff. it was made for it and it does it well!

 

i believe that even if you pay to get everything done, yeah it might be a nice car. But what did you to to it other than paying other people to work on it. If you don't do alot of the work yourself then you get no respect. I've done or helped do everything to my car. I had my buddy put the headers in for me, but I was there everyday after work when I could helping out. And when my car got the SS hood/spoiler and repainted, I was there. I fitted the hood, wet sanded the whole car and so much other stuff. If you customize a car and still think it's just a car then you're a dumbass.

 

Dang right, if you just pay other ppl to do it you're a ricer. You get no bond with the car if you pay people to do it... That's why I nominated Alih, who I will vote for whether or not he accepts.
GA, you've got a REALLY nice car, but I've come to really respect Alih's car. Chances are you'll win it, but my vote goes to Alih.
