I bought this car with a damaged motor for 1K last year. I was my hope to rebuild the motor. A spun main bearing made repair impractical. I located a used 2002 motor from a Camaro with 48K on it. During the install I did several upgrades. The goal was to build an everyday car that would get 30 Miles per gallon highway and not boring to drive. All upgrade where done with this in mind.
Upgrades: OBX Headers, Centerforce Duel friction Clutch, Hurst Short thro shifter, Cold Air intake
Chevelle Man - November
What we have here is a 2SSRS that is 100% factory stock.
It's an R6P car (early order) equipped with the 426hp LS3 motor, 6 speed manual transmision and is covered with the amazing Inferno Orange Metallic (IOM) paint.
Other options on this car besides the RS package are ...20" polished aluminum wheels,Cyber Grey Metallic (CGM) rally stripes, factory floormats, Orange accent interior trim and a body colored engine cover.
Now as always you guys can do pretty much whatever you want to in order to get votes. But don't go posting threads to vote for you in every section, that's got to stay in OT.
Voting ends at midnight central time on December 31th.
Good luck to you all, now let’s get it on!

Roty
There can be only one...... ROTY , and for this year, it's gotta be the 5thGen winner...why you ask?
This year marks the return of the Camaro and what better way to honor it's return, than to vote for it for this years ROTY.
C'mon people let's celebrate the Camaros return properly, vote for the 5th gen for the 2009 ROTY

When I was 14, I rebuilt an engine that I found behind my father's shop with intentions to drop it into a car. I bought my Z with a tired 305 for $900 when I was 15. I'm now almost 17 and still working vigorously on the car.
The engine is a 350, 4-bolt main (3970010 casting.) Mods list includes: Scat steel crank, steel rods, forged aluminum pistons, Melling high volume/pressure oil pump, double roller timing set, mild cam, Edelbrock Performer intake, Holley Street Avenger 670 Carb, shorty headers, MSD coil, Jegs high volume fuel pump, Flex-a-lite flex fan, and a few other odds and ends.
Transmission: 700R4 built by Steve at Downtown Transmission in Davie, FL. I HIGHLY recommend him. Parts include a billet input shaft, high volume oil pump, kevlar bands, kevlar coated "Z Pack" clutches, corvette servos, Transgo shift kit, 2300 stall converter, TCI lockup kit, B&M ratchet shifter, and of course a few other things.
The car: New shocks and struts, Energy Suspension Bushings, new ceramic pads/rotors/calipers all around with stainless braided lines, Aeroquip Stainless Braid Racing Hose from the tank back, Optima Red Top, Flowmaster 80 series muffler, 235/65/15 BFG Radial T/A's, Sun Pro gauges, JVC H/U with Pioneer speakers, 145mph speedometer, etc.
And a little before and after:
