The Falcon was chosen as "Best Competition Car" at the Rose City Round-Up" car show today! What a cool surprise! Nice hand built trophy!

Thanks Bill! Had to keep telling folks it was only a year old build! People thought it was a survivor with the "tarnished" finish!

Dumped the stupid gilmer cog belt system today! After wearing out two belts in less than 2,000 miles, and the black rubber residue that made a mess of my engine, I was tired of it! I dug out my old V pulleys and painted them up. Then swapped them back on the car. Not as neat looking, but their a whole lot quieter, and more reliable!

Found a killer deal on a pair of 4"x15" skinny American Torq Thrust wheels and tires on the local CL Sunday! The tires were too small for the Falcon, so I'll sell them later. I bought a pair of Nexen 165-80-15 tires, and had them mounted up. Too hot to get them painted up and mounted on the car today, so I'll wait for morning and cooler weather tomorrow!
I'll put my old ET Classics and the new takeoff tires on CL, and re-sell them later.

Thanks Bill! Got them painted to match yesterday, but got too hot to put them on. Also need to get regular lug nuts, as these have conical bevel on the wheels.

All mounted up, and ready to roll!

Sits an inch higher up front too, and steers easier with these tires!

Haven't had it on the freeway yet, but around town it's great. Beaches tonight, so it will get freeway time both ways, and I'll see how they work. Probably good, I think. Might need a little more air, as I have 36 lbs. and they squat a bit. Maybe bump them to 40 lbs. for my car's weight.
