Just might be Chuck! It would be a natural choice to go with the Austin!

Got a couple 600 cfm Holley carbs today from a friend to put on the Weiand tunnel ram. He had them on a SBC for a few weeks and they didn't work out for him. I got them for less than half price, so that will save some bucks!

A friend's dad has a couple Chevy trucks with 454's in them that he's planning on selling. He said one he is going to part out and the engine has been rebuilt. Going over tomorrow to listen to it run, and it's supposed to be a good one. He said he'd sell it to me for $400 with all the accessories, if he could keep the carb.
Since I don't need more than a shortblock, I may be able to get some out of the heads and whatever I don't use on CL. Then I can swap in a cam and put my heads and intake on it. Shouldn't put much of a dent in the budget!

Another piece of the project purchased. Bought the truck 454 with 4 bolt mains. Also got all the accessories. and even the radiator tossed in. Heading back over next Sunday to help him pull the engine.
Talked to a friend this morning at our monthly hotrodder's breakfast who has a narrowed 9" Ford rearend. Need to go see how wide it is, and if it might fit the project.
Now to find either a T56, Super T10, or M22. Whichever comes up first, and is the best deal.

Ordered my fenderwell headers last night. Speedway has a great price on fenderwell headers for Tri 5 Chevy with big block. They should be a good fit for the Falcon, and they are only $200 from my local Speedway dealer, and free shipping. 2" primaries, with 3.5" collectors:

Located a Super T10 on the local CL ads for $500, with linkage on it for a 2nd gen Camaro. Going to go pick it up tonight! Another piece to complete the puzzle!

Well moving along on the parts chase anyway! Just ripped out the rest the bathroom walls today, so new sheetrock, and then floors, with new fixtures, and that part of our remodel will be done! Glad the marble tile shower is done, as I was getting tired of washing up in the laundry sink!!!
Just got back with the new ST10, and it's beautiful! Like new inside, and the 2nd gen Camaro shifter has all new bushings, and tight as a new one! It's a late model with the all aluminum case, not early with cast iron case. Couldn't get him off the $500, but it's worth several times the price, so I'm very happy with it!
