1956 Chevy Custom "Miss Taboo"
no one is repoping them. we went to many impala people and you cant find them. also the ones that pop up on ebay are just too far gone or worth their weight in gold.
maybe i dont know what we are going to do. we have to grind out the rust in the top. they took the drip rails off and where they were the paint is bubbleing so thats first
well we decided on the color scheme! the car is going back to black but with a victory red insert on the sides of the car. do its going back to its 80's hayday look
ok, first let me just say.... AWESOME THREAD!!! I love the Car and the History... and all the pictures! Man you just gotta love a well documented Ride with Pics! And... I was gonna say That thing looked KILLER when it was Black and Red!! Now I see you have decided to go back with the Black and Red so I'm stoked!! Cant wait to see what its gonna look like when you get it finished! Thanks for taking the time to post all this stuff man.... Great job all around.
^thanks, we were sure we were going back to black but we have been seeing some good looking metallic blues so now we are back to not sure. we are taking the side pipes off now and taking the rood scoops off the top. then the car will be ready for paint. been havind parts chromed during all this so that they are ready to go back on the car when its painted.
no i dont thats going to happen. its been on the back burner after we got the 67 camaro convertible and trying to get it ready for the swap meet. maybe. my grandpa has idea of keeping it now. we might have his 55 chevy back on the road for this summer but taboo might be ready for the roadster show next year.
