Well talked to my grandpa last night and on Tuesday the original owner that did the custom work came by and saw the car. He love the color and most of the rework we did. The only this he didn't like was the dash we patched back together. He liked the cut in dash that he had when we bought it back from him. Oh well it's not his car anymore.

 

Yep! He could have kept it and redone it his way!

 

Well the display for the roadster show got a new addition yesterday. When Ron originally built taboo he belonged to a club in Beaverton called the exotics. Well Ron's brother Richard gave us his exotics club jacket along 2 extra jacket back patches! One of each design the club. We also have 2 or 3 original club plaques as well to display.

 

Pretty cool! Never heard of the club The Exotics before. Nice bit of extra trivia for the display!

 

I think they disbanded in the late 60s early 70s they were a council club though the jacket has a patch on it.

 

You missed a great event yesterday! Beaches at PIR had it's opener, and a record turnout! Over 1500 cars showed up last night! Wore me out just walking around to see them all!

 

I can't get off work early enough to make it out there and I'm not really keen on sitting traffic on 26. I'll probably take off for the camaro club night because I can just head out there in the 98.
