OK, I see what you mean now. I didn't relate "stripe" to the insert in the chrome piece.

Can't wait to get it back we took a piece of the side trim to make sure where the insert goes and man this color is going to pop with the shiny stuff

 

The stripe has been painted and now he is just finishing up some detail things then he is going to cut and buff it the ln she should be ready to bring on home to start reassembly

 

Cool! Sounds like it will be ready fir the show circuit this summer!

 

Hopefully but I doubt it since we are working on some of the others for going to nsra in June and good guys in puyallup in July. Plus trying to get out 67 camaro ready for the swap meet. You going to the nsra run at the Clark county fairgrounds?

 

I plan to go to Clark County NSRA, but haven't been to one before, so not sure how big the turnout will be. That time of year is sketchy for weather, so I wont prepay, as it could be a rainy disaster, so I'd rather pay more at the gate, than pay and not go.

 

well got to bring home some of the painted parts, mostly the small stuff like splash pan, inner headlight bezels, roll pans, and the hood.

 

here are a couple update shots of the 327 for the car. still need to get carbs, (they ones sitting there are bare housings used to make the templates for the intake) fuel pump, water pump and linkage.

 

BIG NEWS!!!! THE CAR IS NOW HOME!!!!!!!!! on saturday morning we went and picked the car up and got it home, now for the fun and tedious part of putting it back together.
