Default Some Advice please

Hello everyone, so here it is. I just purchased a mint 94 Z28, mint body and drivetrain. My plans are to turn into a drag slash street car out of it. I would like to run low 11s or high 10's with some help of spray if need be. motor wise i like the concept of building a throttle boddy car, never done one. Just by reading some of the articles it seems easy enough. As far as building the motor i am using a 400 small block 30 over. All eagle inerds is what I'm thinking. as far as heads and intakes for this what is my best bet? i read somewhere saying that the stock LT1 heads are hot when ported? and what intake and throttlebodies are good if anyone knows any tricks please advise lol. Chassis wise i want it to keep it stock suspension in it. i have a 12 bolt ready go with a Strange spool, 410 gears and 30 spline axles. Tranny is still up in the air? looking for advise on this as well with a convertor. i want to get the wheels up in the air when i let go of the button. and whats the max tire i can put on it? wanna go with a street radial slick, what backspacing and so on. thanks guys!!!!

Why not a little forced induction? Spray is fine, but it always sucks to be caught with your pants down when bottle pressure is low. A supercharger or turbo setup would be my first preference. Then you also don't have to do nearly as much with porting and polishing, cams, valvetrain, etc. You wouldn't need to make it turn at ungodly RPM to make power. And F/I is much easier on an EFI car than carbs. It's going to have to be tuned anyway, so you may as well tune it for more air.

A turbo is def cool and awsome power but its the money and fabrication that's making me lean towards spray. I've been reading and looking into this guys Z on the net. Tenseclt1 is his subtitle. Car is sick!!! They way I think I'm going to do it is a turbo 400 with a 4000 stall convertor and port my heads, find a intake, and use twin 58mm T/B with a 150 shot. I ran the car stock with 373 gears in the stock ten bolt and ran a 12.96. I figure with the right tranny and motor work and slicks it should run 11.50's or so. With spray it should hit a high ten or sub 11's. Hopefully. Does that sound about right?
