I would like to know why i'm having a heck of a time finding a turbo kits (complete bolt-ons) for my 99 v6 camaro. What is so difficult about this car. To me, (no experience with turbos ) it seems there would be plenty of room for all the piping between the engine and rad.
If anyone can help i would be greatful.

 

There is one in developement... None exist, otherwise. Your best bet is a supercharger. Powerdyne makes one for the 3.8 but it costs $3,500.

Superchargers are better on your engine than a turbo, anyways.

 

Most likely the demand isn't great enough to make it profitable and still sell it at a reasonable price.

 

Why do you feel superchargers are better on an engine? What mods are needed for a turbo.....what mods are needed for supercharge?

 

A supercharger is not as hard on your engine and is run off more of a pulley/belt system, whereas turbos are all air and about pushing that air through piping into your engine. I'm by no means an expert on the subject and there are others that no MUCH more about this than I do but that is my general understanding. Google it and you'll understand.
