Default Turbo on Carbed 350?

Looking for a summer project. I have a vortec 350 with carb, intake and a edelbrock carb. Was just wondeing if anyone has had any luck with a single turbo on a carb motor, if so what setup did you run and what kind of numbers did you put down. I have a 76 trim t3 turbo already, was thinking of throwing that on the camaro, but didnt wanna get in over my head.

All info appreciated

before you can pick between a turbo or supercharger you have to think about wat you want as far as performance. do you want top end speed(turbo) or instant and constant power throw the rpm range (supercharger)???????

IMO, it's too hard to keep a tune correct on a carbed motor. Compressed air is much more finicky than air under vacuum, and I'm one of those people that refuses to run a car that's way out of tune. I would find a FI kit for it first, and then think about changing over the induction.

im in the process of twin turboing a 350 and its going to be useing a blow through demon carb. you can easly run 7-10 psi with out worring about loosing a tune. yes your going to be running 7-10 psi but will you loose your tune becuse of it.. i dont thingk so. if you get a carb ment to be blown through. and as for your internals.. 10 psi wont hurt you at all. as long as there decent. im going to rebuild my motor cuse its due for it any ways. and as for boost lag. that dont exsist for a v8 till you get into huge gerret t45 turbos. the low end tourqe that a v8 makes is plenty to make up for the power before you make boost. and once you make boost.. its all over.and also if your ride is goingtobe a dialy driver you will want good MPG and behave well... super chargers dont behave well. cuse there allways making boost.if i were you ide stick with the carb and turbo for one its much cheaper and if it workswhy fix it. an EFI kit cant cast 2k easy. i priced a TT kit form ebay for 1400 bux. that comes with EVRYTHING U NEED. super chargers can cost in excess of 4k. evryone has there opinions. theres mine. hope this helps

From what I understand, the ebayturbos are of poor quality and don't last long. I would be cautious of said kit.
