the lt4 that came in the vettes was not 420, so that kit would have to be with a hotcam, but also extensively ported heads. like i said my buddy with the full swap made 291rwhp with shorty headers (stock ypipe it looked like tho [:'(])

im betting you could break 300 with a good y-pipe.

edit - cuz ive seen how restrictive the Y-pipe is.. headers are pointless with a stock y-pipe
