So borg is tremec. Hmm. I wonder if FTV6 is just a small forum, and since a couple people on that board killed their transmissions, it left a bad flavor.

anyone can kill a tranny. i would do ur mods and not worry too much about it. like i said, the t5 in the mustang was good to 400rwhp. only guys that really had issues with them are the ones that are blown or using lots of spray. lots of guys on stock trannys running 12s. altho im sure some of them are on t-3650s

A lot depends on your set up and traction not just peak power. If you are making 300 wheel horses but and dropping the hammer with 3400 RPM launches on slicks then any T5 is not going to last very long.. Personally i am with you and have a dislike for the T5 i had a buddy that blew out his mustangs after only 23,000 miles with just under 300 at the wheels. Of course there are exceptions to every case and some of us get lucky from time to time. I will try to look for that link i remember reading about it a few months ago so i could be mistaken.

pathogen posts on ftv6, she got that thing into the 12's, cool car. It's down right now unfortunately. That's interesting how that link has you use an lt1 kit, you'd save $1000 by just getting the s/c by itself and making a bracket.

Well, now I know I need a reverse s/c at least, wasn't sure about that. I can get a brand new paxton unit for $1900.

Spec, I thought the tranny that would have came with your year model was a T45, and 02+ was Tremec-3650
