Default What panels on the Gen 5 and 6 are plastic?

I was having my LT V6 with Edelbrock supercharger towed back to have the E-Force calibrated and the tow operator noticed my hood was plastic, (2020 model) and I'm sure the roof is not structural so I think it is plastic too.

So what else have you guys noticed that is plastic? I would think my trunk is....but then again maybe it needs to be H/S steel to meet crash standards.

I owned a1992 Saturn SL2 so I have no problem with plastic panels. The car never faded or had any clear coat problems....which is why GM is still using the formula for weight reduction.

So what have I missed? Anybody know what our cars are made from on the outside?

I have a Gen 6 but it started as a bone stock LT. This is the car the Supercharger was being installed in; and it is as fast and menacing as it looks. I love the color and her wider stance in the back by 2". I have always felt that the Camaro was beautiful. The Mustang has a better built interior and sighlines, but everybody has a Mustang. I want a custom built V6 with the whine of the Supercharger and the 3 6 howling with that awesome sound it makes. Now I have it. It's fantastic! You do need to realize that the clutch is the weak link by design. I get "clutch overuse" Instrument panel notifications from time to time but I am just enjoying my car now. It cost a good bit to do this so if the clutch dies then the 6060 SS clutch goes in. I'm 50 so I am not after burnouts. I want highway hi-jinks and weekend track time.
