So I'm kinda New
Ok so technically I'm not new to this site but it has been so long since I last signed on (about 14 months) that I figured I might as well re-introduce myself.
I am no stranger to forums like this, in fact I am a signature member at fullsizechevy.com, but I am as good as new to this one.
The story of how I acquired my Camaro is actually kind of entertaining. About a year and a half ago I decided to go to KU (Rock Chalk Jayahwk!) and found that I would have to drive about 3 hours to get there and would have to do a lot of driving once there as well.
Up to this point in my life I was always a truck guy and my ride reflected it, a 1996 Silverado with a 6.5 inch lift and 35 inch tires, but 10 mpg was just not practical, especially trying to pay my way through college. I began a search for a fuel efficient car thinking Honda or Toyota.
While searching I found a black 94 Camaro with the 3.4L V6 and a 5-speed. The guy who was selling it claimed it got great mpg and since it was reasonably priced I bought it. I still have the ol truck in a friends garage but it is no longer my daily driver.
Despite some small problems (window motors didn't work, needed fog lights, and the electrical/stereo system was a nightmare because the guy who had it before me apparantly went out of his way to screw it up, there was electical tape holding the speaker leads on
, minor cosmetic damage etc.) I found it to a very cool ride.
Since than I have contiued to fix it up and have had a great time doing so, sometimes I even look forward to seeing what I can do to it. It has been fun, the kind of fun that can only come from owning a Camaro.
Looking forward to being a little more involved with the forums this time around.
