Default problems starting...

I have recently purchased a 1999 ss with 80,000 miles. iv driven it for a month with no problems, but just recently, its been having trouble starting. the engine is turning over but just not firing. and if i let it sit for a few minutes, then try again it fires right up. im wondering if the fuel pump is getting worn out, and am wondering how long they typically last?

Well there are two things you can look at one is the fuel pump or a clogged line. I would go get some of that stp fuel system cleaner that goes in ur gas tank when u fill it up and see how that works for you. Or change out the fuel pump. your question was how long does one last one they start it go its only matter of time before they stop compleletly.

good luck
