My name is John Mueller, I'm from Camel Valley, CA.
My Camaro is a 1967 RS, and I'm in the process of creating a top caliber G-Machine for the street and auto cross competition. I am doing the body work and mechanical fabrication/installs myself with help from my body shop teacher, the owner of the collision repair shop where I donate work days, and the advice from all the good people (expert auto shop owners and auto enthusiasts) in the Salinas/Watsonville/Monterey/California area that I'm lucky enough to confer with.

Is Carmel Valley near Camel or another part of CA? Just curious... Im in Modesto.

Carmel And Carmel Valley is separated by Hi-way 1. There is "Carmel by the Sea" and on the other side of the hi-way there is Carmel Valley. The Valley has the warmer weather. BTW I'm originally from Modesto.

The body comes off the frame tomorrow, it's goin' to Cap's in Fresno for media blasting and then back to the shop in Watsonville. When I have time I'll produce a slideshow of the progress. Thanks for the interest.

Oh.. that sucks ur from Modesto... I really hate it here... moved and now I am back... Well thank you for clarifying that Carmel Valley is not part of Carmel... I was thinking that it might be cuz the name is close... you'd think being born and raised in cali that i would know the difference.. Oh well.. learned something new

 

When I lived in Modesto it was much different than today. If you've ever seen the movie "American Graffiti", the characters in the movie were my high schoolmates. You could get away with most anything in toughs days. Drag racing on country roads was a nightly event. I know what you mean about Motown it's a good place to leave.
