Hello all. This is my first post and Im very excited to be getting my camaro (hopefully) this weekend. Ive got to get a trailer. Its a 94' v6 auto but I cant complain because a buddy from work has had it in storage for 10 years! He said to pay his storage fees and its mine. His storage fees are only $100 !!!!!

Im new to Camaros but not new to turning wrenches. Im a diesel mechanic for the U.S. ARMY. Hooah

Anyways, I look forward to learning from the forums and helping out in any way I can.

Yeah it'll be a fun project but I dont know much about the car. Its teal and my buddy said when he parked it at storage it wouldnt do much over 30-40 with the accelerator floored. Anyone have ideas on that ?

Welcome to the forum, what exactly are you plans with this car? Are you thinking engine swap?

Not real sure yet. Have thought about a lot for it like rebuild the 6 for nitrous or a turbo, swap a v8 in which ive read is quite the chore and I have actually thought about trying to make a quick buck on it by getting it running then trying to sell it ? So I dont really know yet. Figured for $100 I cant really go wrong with whatever way I decide to go ya know ?

Welcome to CF, car sounds like a good deal. You may want to check out the exhaust and see if the cat converter is broken up/melted inside causing a restriction, it happens. Post up in the tech section once you get it.

thanks for the warm welcome Camaro 69. Whats the general thought here ? ditch the 3.4l for a series III 3.8l or take on the huge chore of swapping in a v8 with a 6 spd or just keep the auto?
