Default Newb from Ohio

Hey everyone,
My name is John and I am from Columbus, Ohio. Looks like my son Brendon got his intro in before me . I have owned probably 10 Camaros over the course of the years and have to say its gotta be my favorite car. I just purchased a 1995 Camaro with the following mods.
LT-1
6 speed
80,000 original miles on it
Lunati 540 roller cam,
heads have bigger springs to match the cam
5 angle valve job, ported and polished
hardened push rods
MSD crank trigger
SLP cold air intake,
Hooker big tube headers
3 inch Borla exhaust
4:11 posi rear
Center Force clutch and light weight flywheel

I have been involved in Drag Racing and building race cars for most of my life. I was a Crew Chief for a Top Sportsman/ Pro Mod team for about 10 years and on an IHRA Pro Stock team for a year. I built probably 20 street cars during this time with many of them being Camaros. Over the last 10 years I have spent more time raising my kids and taking care of my family then racing so its just a hobby for me at this point in my life. Anyways right now its just a fun driver but I have big plans for it. I dont expect this will be a quick process with 5 kids at home though.

No numbers yet but I am planning on it soon. I need to check it over real good still because it was one of those great deals that I just snatched up without really looking at to well. It feels pretty strong and I drove it home 140 miles and back and forth to work every day since last weekend. Its not much of a sleeper though, Its loud as hell. I'm sure it wont be to long before i get pulled over for it . I'm gonna try to get it to the track in the next couple of weeks and we have a Dyno day comming up soon with one of our dyno shops so I will try to get it up there as well and do some tunning. It does have some issues that I have noticed so far but nothing major and it could really use a paint job. I have a buddy who is a painter and owes me so I'm gonna cash in that favor .

Here are the current issues that I need to fix.
  • Speedo isnt correct - probably vss from what everyone is saying
  • Popping noise from underneath when I get on it. It soundslike its the torque arm. Its not that bad though, just annoying
  • Pass side window regulator
  • Door panel covers that hold the window switches need replaced
  • Center console has a broken latch on the lid and the ash tray assembly is missing
  • Steering column probably needs replaced. There is some slack in the tilt.
Little stuff here and there but it runs super stong and I got a great deal. Couldnt really pass it up.

Well it's a pretty clean straight body from what I see. I'd like to get the numbers from the engine when you get those and the specifics of what exactly's been done. The front clip has been painted before at some time, but hopefully that doesn't mean any front end damage. Be looking at for around the rest of the forum.

The body is really clean and straight. I dont see any kind of damage anywhere. It just needs a paint job. From what I was told the car sat in a barn for 2.5 years then someone bought it, did some mods and then sold it to the guy I got it from. All the mods so far are in the original post but I am gonna be doing much more. The car only has 81,000 miles on it.
