Default I am a noob but having trouble

I am a Noob to Camaro's or Camaro forums in general, Until 4 days ago the closest I came to owning a camaro was an 82 Trans am. I bought a 2011 2SS 4 days ago and almost everytime I try shifting from 1st to 2nd it grinds. I've drove a standard my whole life and yes the clutch is fully depressed but it does it all the time. Anyone else have a problem with this?? Or is it just me

Welcome tothe forum. Sounds like the skip shift feature may be acting up. It is supposed to force you to shift from 1st to 4th unless you are stomping on the gas. However; new car always let the dealer work on it.

The dealer had a technician and the service manager drive it and said with their driving habits it's fine and that basically said I was accelerating to fast thats what was causing it. I don't think shifting after 900 rpms (which anything above that this happens) is driving to hard.. I don't recall ever having a vehicle where I shifted to 2nd before 900 RPM.....
