Been 11 years since I've had a Camaro. My last was an 89 IROC 5.7 black T-top car that I bought in 91' and kept near mint and used for an audio display car until I lost it in the big D word in '98. I also owned a couple of 68's in the mid 90's.
So, I picked up a high mileage 96 SS T-Top car a few weeks ago with the original motor freshly rebuilt and a new clutch installed. Other than that, it's all originally except the tires and had been used for commuting mostly to the tune of 155k miles!
I recharged the AC and started working on a couple of codes that were on it and ordered up the Bilsteins from SLP last week and so begins the process of a mild restoration for the car.
Good to have some fellow enthusiasts for opinions and to share in the progress over the next few months while we get it back in top condition for hopefully another 150k miles!

Right on! YOu've got a sick looking ride there for sure.

I know I want to keep it white for the paint but thinking I'd like some color too. Thinking maybe some blue SS stripes and see if I can polish and blue anodize the wheels (similiar to the 99 TA pkg.) or possibly the same in candy tangarine.
