New to the site, buying my first Camaro
Hi all, my name is Mike and I am seriously looking at buying my first camaro. I found a one owner (part of an estate), 1982 Berlineta with 39K original miles. The body is very straight but has very dull silver paint, 305, AT, almost mint dark blue interior. I have a verbal from the seller for $3500 which includes tax and title.
What do you all think. Is that a good deal or what? Give me your thoughts on the model.

Welcome to CF Mike. Kinda hard to say without seeing the car. But an 82 with that low of miles, probably a good deal provided you don't have to sink a lot of money in it to get and keep it road worthy. As opposed to a car that's driven more regularly, inactivity can dry out and harden gaskets and seals, causing leaks. And other important things like brakes, exhaust, body, suspension, etc. tend to rust and go to heck from sitting. To what extreme depends on how and where the car was stored.

Welcome mike. Put some pics up of if ya can. Sound s like a ok deal but the low miles makes me wonder when is the last time its been started. Id hate to see that you would have to almost rebuild the entire motor because it sat so long and everything dry and cracking.

hay mike welcome to the forum. post up pictures when you can. photobucket works good, open free account, download pictures, copy img code to post and poof picture shows. it does sound like a fair deal so long as it was stored inside. hope the site is usefull for you. enjoy.
