welcome...

IROC is higer perf than Z28...

if your going for power, 4th gen 93+ V8's are lots better than 80's V8's

An IROC (International Race Of Champions) WAS a Z28. Eventually the IROC became the IROC-Zwhen there was no Z28 (1988 - 1990) untill 91 when the RPO changed an the Z28 returned to replace the IROC-Z. It had a much better suspention pakage and a slightly upgraded engine with a few exceptions. I would have to agree with badinfluence on the 4th gens power, most of the IROC V8's were 305's and stock V8's from the 4th gen were 350 or 348. I could stand corrected though.

i agree with the previous post, but the 3rd gens are stillm kinda special to me. you can get a 91-92 Z28 with a 5.7 for a decent price now. and the 5.7 TPI engine can make really good power without breaking the bank. i have personally seen the 91-92 TPI engines go from 245hp to 275hp with no more than a fuel pressure change...the power is there to be made , you just have to find it
