New member, unfortunately not a Camaro owner...yet
Hey, I'm new here (obviously) and am not a Camaro owner...yet.
A little about myself. I'm 19, live in MN, automotive enthusiast (not brand *****...). I currently own a black/black/black 1998 BMW 328is 5MT and am leasing a blue/black 2008 BMW Z4 3.0si Roadster 6MT.
The 328is was my first car and it's my pride and joy. I've put a lot of time and money into making it what it is today. In case your wondering, I paid for it myself with my own money. The Z4 is about the most impractical car ever. And being a "cute" car as many people have said, it's also not the most masculine haha. I work at a local BMW dealership, so the Z4 is on a two year employee lease. But the employee lease was for the Z4 roadster only, not the Z4 coupe or ///M versions sadly as I would have taken either over the Roadster immediately.
With the Z4 as I haven't taken a photo shoot of the Z4 yet.
Enough about BMWs.
I joined here because I'm a big fan of Camaros and I'm hoping to buy one. My favorite Camaro (barring 1969 SS/RS and 2004 SS) is the third gen. I'm such a huge fan of that car. If I could get one, I would go for a 92' RS. But seeing as how I don't have the money to drop for fun on a sweet car like that, I'd have to go for a worn V6 with my pricerange... Every time I see one on the road, no matter what trim level, I'm envying the driver haha.
So if anybody near MN has a third gen for sale under $1k let me know!
Edit: My friend is swapping an Olds 350 and T56 into his 87' Cutlass so that;s kinda what got me into the American scene even more than I was already. My dad owned a 1970 Mustang 302 and a 74' Camaro (don't remember which V8 it had), so he taught me from a young age about American muscle.

under $1k? good luck
maybe if you could spend a LITTLE more, you'd have better luck. My buddy Nathan bought his 3rd gen RS for $2,200 and its in gread shape - low miles, ttops, 5 speed, v8 (305 lol).... Just look around, its gonna be hard to find one for $1k, and if you do, It will probably need a lot of work

Under 1K$ isnt hard for a third gen at all. The condition wont be the greatest, and some probably wont be running but hey, then its a nice project lol.
