Just wanted to say hi, I'm a longtime Corvette owner who's got a lusting for a Camaro, looking soon at a 93 Convertible with a good top (new) and a bad trans, It across the river and the weather isn't great, but if it runs, V8 and I can run a carfax on it, maybe by this weekend I'll be an Camaro owner. But got to be careful, looking for something do-able and doom-able.

Welcome, If you pic it up post some pics. Dont forget to check the floors good. If the old top leaked the car could have issue.

 

Thank you, that is my current fear, the floor pans being rotted out. The guy says it is a brand new top, said it's a little over $2000 job, and it runs great. (I'm currently wait on the VIN# so I can look at it's history, I already know the trans is bad, but rust is the thing I fear most.

 

Welcome to the forum, a top job shouldn't be much over 1K at the highest. Sounds like he's making the price of car sound better.
