Hey guys happy to be a new member, recently looking into doing up a Camaro because im tired of seeing all these ricer honda's everywhere.

Any suggestions on which year or body type i should look into getting or something with alot of options?

Im looking at a 85-2002 so any information would be great in the selection process! My dad has always been a camaro guy and would love to do something up with him.

Me personally I own a '02 z28 because it is my favorite body/motor combo. but If you prefer the 3rd gen body style get a '92. I wouldn't mess with the mid 80's models they don't make very good power without modification IMO.

 

Thats what i was looking into gettin like a 99-02. I like that body type and think this best option for me!

now should i get one with a SS motor or do my own things like dropping a gm performance motor in it?

 

Welcome to the forum, the only options you have a V6 or V8 for the later 4th gen. the V8 in the Z28/SS can make great HP numbers with some minor mods, or you can totally go nuts on it and get big HP numbers. It really depends on your budget and goals.
