Default New Member Needs Feedback

Hi everyone, I live in Phoenix and I've been looking for a first generation Camaro to restore to a part-time, daily-driver status. I've found the following 68 and need some feedback whether this is a good deal or not. I think it's a good deal but don't want to be too eager and over spend. I'm not interested in overbuilding the car, I just want to return it to the road in mostly stock form and just enjoy driving it.

1968 Camaro Project car for sale: Asking $9995.00

Car has been stripped down and most metal work completed.
New outer front fenders installed
New upper dash panel installed

The following is a list of new or rebuilt parts that come with the project car:
● Gas tank filler & float - new
● Wiring kit - new
● Firewall carpet guard & fastener - new
● Headlight housings - new
● Brake master cylinder and power booster - new
● Front gear cover
● Valve covers - new
● Multi leaf rear spring install kit and shackles - new
● Body kit bolts - new
● Hood latch & assembly - new
● Windshield washer jar & bracket - new
● Battery tray - new
● Hood hinges - new
● Hood to cowl seal - new
● Fuel tank neck - new
● Front & rear brake hose - new
● Gas tank seal - new
● Brake proportioning valve - new
● u – joints for rear axle - new
● Carpet sound deadener - new
● Hood insulation - new
● Body fender braces - new
● Front inner fender skirts (left and right) - new
● Fuel tank & hood bolts, etc
● Rear bench seat – old (needs to be reupholstered)
● Gas tank – new
● Fuel lines - new
● 4-Core Radiator - new
● 4-speed Transmission – rebuilt (Borg Warner Super T-10 wide ratio)
● Engine (350 small block V8 2-bolt main short block, will need to be rebuilt)
● Rear end axle – rebuilt (8.5 10-bolt POSI with 3:42 gears)

I'm semi-retired and have the time/means to make this happen. I've done two restorations in the past and will be doing all the work myself with the exception of the bigger jobs like engine rebuilding. I'll be looking at the car late next week, any and all feedback is appreciated. Thanks

Depends a lot on local markets but around my neck of the woods that would be a pretty fair deal and probably be gone in short order.

Good project and most of metal work done - a plus.
Needs interior and correct steering wheel, if remaining stock.
Good price and correct year

Thank you for the feedback. I went and saw the car in person, all in all it's what I expected. The owner has quite a collection of replacement parts, both new and used. They abandoned the project due to family issues. One drawback is that none of the parts/fasteners were bagged and tagged during the disassembly, no pictures either. There's six totes of smaller parts waiting to be put together like a jigsaw puzzle. The VIN says the car was a 6 cylinder when built out of the Los Angeles plant. There's a V8 with the car that needs rebuilt, that engine has never been installed in the car.

It was raining when I went to see it, I'm going to make another visit Thursday or Friday when I can climb underneath the car. I'm not a fan of leaving a primered car out in the elements where it can get wet. I'm not sure how I feel about rust creeping out from under that primer.
