New project on the way!

New project on the way!
I found a new project. My last one was too much metal work to mess with. After I figured the cost of materials and the work to replace it all I was depressed.
It's a '73 Camaro that someone was working on and lost the extra time. Not that I have a ton of extra time on my hands, but I do want another project.
It has been a street-legal street rod, now the previous owner was in the process of making a Pro-Street dragster out of it. He has the frame connectors installed, roll cage tying the entire car together, the front of which in connected to the sub-frame in the engine compartment. Fuel cell in truck and set up for dual batteries too.
He has most all of the badging and trim. The original hood and a fiberglass one with a cowl. Only one ugly spot that need to be fixed then primer and paint. I know someone in SE Michigan that will do the work but he is moving in the fall so I will have to get right on it. Bad timing as I just opened a new business 3 months ago.
New disc brakes all around, new master cylinder. 4-Link suspension, Ford 9" rear with Strange axles and 4.86 gears and spool, Firestone slicks in the rear also. The backseat is gone and tubbed out for the tires, rear quarters stretched and patched.
I'm excited and will pick it up next week. Now where do I find a good attorney for when my wife decides to divorce me?
My other computer crapped out. Here are some pictures in Photobucket. (hope the link works)

She won't leave. Kid #4 is due in August. We discussed it and she's on board with the idea. Told her it was a hog, a girlfriend or a car - she picked the lesser of the three evils. I sold my '79 Z28 to buy her the engagement ring back in 1998 - which she lost last year!! So I played a little on the guilt factor. Hey - Ya gotta do what ya gotta do.
My seven year old son and I are going to have some fun with it. Trying to learn the ins and outs of the BBC. I've always been a small block fan, but now I am converting to the rat motor.

What a great start to a build! Especially if you were looking towards a pro street early 2nd gen! The hardest part is done, and the biggest expense left is an engine build. The BBC is a great engine, and you can put something together that is loaded with power and torque, and not break the bank. I'm building up a 454 presently, and when looking for a good running 454 to start with, I found tons of them around $500. It's easy to wring 400+ HP out of a BBC 454 and not break the budget.

Thanks! I'm pumped to get it. I will pick it up next week and run through the car wash. It's a bit dusty. I am calling a friend of a friend tomorrow to see if he is interested in finishing the body work and painting her. I was thinking a deep burgundy candy and black stripes.
Thanks 1971BB427 for the words of encouragement in the PM. I also discussed it with my mechanic and a friend of mine who has been working on cars since our HS days.

Well, she made it home today!
It is filled with bonuses too. Both bumperettes and rear bumper - no dents or rust. Found all the side markers, no cracks backing plates and nuts present and accounted for. All the trim for the headlights is there & looks awesome. Also, the parking light bezels and lamp holders are there along with the rear lights. I'll get some new pictures tomorrow. I need to wash it off and clean it up a bit. I'm excited to get going with her.

Looks like a fun project. If you wanted to,you could even fab up some sort of a back seat, that way you can take more than 1 person at a time with you.Actually,1971BB427 done a nice rear seat type of storage compartment in his car.
