New member looking into getting a Camaro
Yeah, bill12690 is right. And watch out with the 3.4's, they aren't the best motors. Mine went out on me, in my old Camaro, at 92k miles. My friend's old '94 was only running on 4cylinders after 110k. And if you're unhappy with your 17 second Cavalier, the Camaro won't be much better. It'll only run a 16 something.
If you're really interested in a V6 Camaro, I highly suggest that you stay away from the 3.4 liter cars. While a 3.8 liter V6 will be slightly more expensive, it will be worth it. If I'm correct, I think they started putting the 3.8 liter in the '95 model year, but they may have used the 3.4 liter in some of the cars until '96. The 3.8 liter is one of the best V6 engines ever made, and it has large horsepower and torque advantage over the 3.4. You will be be doing 0-60 in around 7.5 seconds and the 1/4 mile in less than 16 seconds. The 3.4 would be about two seconds behind. More importantly, the 3.8 will be a much more reliable car.
