uumm cplthomas PLEASE edit that last post and get the 289 out of there! incase your just having a brain fart it's a 283 (the 302 wasn't really a 327 block because the 302's were all 4 bolt main andthe 327 was 2bolt only, and the crank wasn't truly a 283 crank because the 302 had a steel crank and all the 283 cranks were cast) but i get what you were saying, 327 bore , 283 stroke.

I stand erected. It was the 67 Z28 That was designed to compete in the SCCA. The limit was a 305 so the used a 327ci block and a crankshaft from a 283 motor. the 4"X3" stroke yeilded a 302.3 ci. Thanks for pointing it out, I am forever making that mistake, I constantly put a 9 instead of a 3. Your correction got me to thinking and did some research and this is what I found.
