Yeah, I know what you're saying. But I don't see anything wrong with it because there are no huge differences between the SS and the Z28 in terms of performance. A cloned SS from a V6 is way worse.

but its not, its not about performance, its about the fact that guy number 1 buys top of the line, for the right to say he could and did, then guy number 2 buys a lesser model and makes people think he has the highest model and pretends to be something hes not....

 

But if that person does want the top model and regrets buying the lesser and just decides to build his model. Then that model looks and performs just as the top model does, that is not pretending to me. Its not an original, but I still respect it as being a top model.

Sometimes the SS just doesn't roll up onto the lot. Or, for instance, I bought my car when I was 19, NO WAY could I afford an SS, but now my car has a lot of sentimental value, I can never get rid of her. Someday I plan on making all the changes I want for the perfect performance and look. I'm sure one day my car will tell her own story about where I came from and where I am now.
Is it really pretending to be something its not if the first thing she says is that it is originally a Z28 thats been converted? Sounds pretty straight forward and honest to me.
As far as Batman goes... there is only one. But I believe there are several superheros. Was Batman born with the ability to fly? No, and he doesn't call himself Superman.
