Howdy , I am new to forums also am not real good with computers . I do know a little about cars . I bought my first 1969 camaro in 1980 when i was home on leave from the service , back then it was a toss up between a 69 z/28 that was really nice for 2K or a 65 corvette conv that needed a paint job that my neighbor wanted to sell me for $3200 . I bought the Z have been kickin my self for not buying both at the time . How many stories are their out their like that !!!! Anyway the z had the motor swapped out for a 327 seller wanted 500 for the 302 , Dumb move on my part . The car is now completely stipped to the bare shell the body and subframe have been media blasted and primed . All of the body panels that had rust are going to be replaced , the repair panels have been bought through camaro central and am awaiting spring to start the job , am also looking at front and rear suspension upgrades to handle the HP that i am going to put in it when i finish the body .I drove the car until 1984 , got a job in NYC and the car has been parked ever since , the only modification that i did after buying the car was i took the console out and the muncie 4 speed shift out and installed a Mr. Gasket verti-gate shifter . Other than that it is all original .

 

Welcome to the forums. Post up some pictures when you get time and this whole computer thing figgured out. Nice to see more 1st gens out there.
