Welcome, I'm in Cary, NC, not that far away from you.

 

Yeah, i have family in Cary.Was hoping to try and find a Camaro or classic club to get up with and show with.If you are in the show scene, let me know.Im working on restoring mine and am wanting to have it ready by spring.

Welcome to the forum and nice pics. It looks like you are going to have your hands full with the resto. DO you have any ideas for the paint or engine yet? I too live not too far away, I am at Fayetteville, NC. Good Luck. Keep us updated on the resto.

 

Thanks for the replys.As far as body work on the car, there isn't any.Car just has to be wet sanded and sprayed.I have a custom blue that i am gonna spray on it.Really only thing left is im changing the interior.As far as engine, im gonna run the original 305 and try to find out what the emmission code for that year is.I would like to take the emmission crap off.Whenever it comes time to rebuild the engine, my plans are to bore it 40-50 over,3/4 racing cam,rollar rockers,dome pistions,change the heads,intake,headers and carb.Not really looking to change the hood because i'm wanting to keep the body at least original.I'm not planing on making this a hot rod, that is being held out for my dream car....a 57 chevybel air 2 door hardtop.Only problem is i cant find one that doesnt have a tree growing through it or the people want a fortune for it.All i am looking for is a rolling chassis.I would prefer one that hasnt been touched.for me and my father want to restore it completly and make it a beast.One of those 7 miles to the gallon, 7 to 1 compression weekend gas guszler.
