Default New Camaro owning member here

Hi, my name is jeremy and i live in sioux falls south dakota and im 21.

I own a 1983 Camaro Berlinetta, but it is in kinda tough shape, nothing major, but its still a project car. My camaro has T-Tops and a 5 speed manual with a 305.

My first car was a 1985 Camaro coupe, with the inline 4 cylinder, and i had to sell that to pay some bills a few years ago, then in 2005 i had the opportunity to buy this one for $400, and it has no rust holes to speak of, only minor suface rust.

but more to come as i work on restoring my baby.

Upcoming plans:
Put Iroc-Z bumpers and ground effects
build and install a 383 stroker
do something with tail lights, ? Maybe something resembling a 72 camaro's tail lights
new rims
total removal of rust from body and all of suspension
paint job
thinking about maybe puting a 6 speed manual in it (saw something on the net about that)
change gears in rear end
If you have any cool ideas let me know

My name is Adam and I'm almost 29 and I'm new to these forums as well. Not to knock on your 4-cylinder Camaro coupe but I gotta say, whoever thought of putting a 4-cylinder in a Camaro should have been shot. My mother had a '86 Berlinetta and I loved it. It was maybe a few years old then. It had a kinda Knight Rider thing going with the digital speedometer and pretty much digital everything. That radio it had was definitely unique but I'd hate to have to replace that thing. The best part was the 305 that was in it which was my first exposure to a decent sports car. I was a Camaro fan from then on and almost cried the day she sold that car. As far as 3rd gen's go, my favorites were the IROC-Z and the '88 Sport Coupe with the factory single piece spoiler that was produced for 1/2 the year. There's something about that car that I've always liked. I've had 2 Camaro's myself, the first was a '78 Z-28 with a 350 in it (I kick myself for ever selling that car, it was identical to the one that Spicoli wrecked in Fast Times At Ridgemont High except it was white) and I sold it because it was eating me alive in gas and repairs. Now I have a '95 Z-28 that I've had for about a 1 1/2 years and just put a new engine in. With the engine pretty well straight, I'm going to do some cosmetic work like a new hood and maybe some ground effects.
