New camaro owner
My name is John and I'm new to this forum.
I just bought a black 91 Camaro RS for some minor restoring onto some serious work.
I'm new to Camaro's but not new to cars, I own a 4.5" lifted Jeep Cherokee, and just wanted to start here to get a little know-how in before I get cracking at it.
Car comes home tomorrow and I'll be sure to grab some pics.

Ok so heres some pics:
And the current game plan is:
a holly 750 double pumper, new cyllinder heads, new cams, and new valves. Oh and new headers.
Of course before all of that I'm going to give it the TLC it needs and take care of the problems it has:
Distributor timing is way outta whack. Although on the way home it gave me an issue and needed a new battery, so I was screwing with the distributor cap and it feels right. The mechanic who ordered me the battery checked it out and said I should bolt the distributor down where it is, but we'll see.
The tranny is brand new, however, the linkage cable is fa'cocked. So it just needs to be tightened/adjusted. It shifts through all the gears however. (It is an automatic)
Other than some paint new plugs/injectors, coolant flush, etc. the usual. Its good to go.
And please don't flame me about how I should dump the 305. I want to keep the car original and just take it up in horsepower. I also like the engine, its durable and after alot of research with minor work it can become a little powerhouse. I don't race and don't really plan on it, other than blowing ricers off the line. (makes me giggle)
Any advice for a 305 is gladly accepted though!

U know a few years of the tpi 305 only had 10 hp less than the 350 that can b made back easy u already have the 305 so why spend money on a 350 . I like standing up for the hated 305 its a great motor to build gm just choked it down with dished pistons weak cams and bad flowin heads u fix those small issues look out! And let's face it any go fast parts you buy can b thrown on a 350 at a later date execpt for pistons but u get the hint. I think the 750 dbl pumper is over kill though u should b best suited for a 600 carb
