im not a f-body owner (yet ) but currently im driving a 1979 malibu (daily driver) with a warmed up 355 nothing fancy only 14.3 in the 1/4, 700-r4 GN 8.5 10 bolt 3.42 gear posi moser axles,....just a toy how ever im close to getting that damn 700-r4 out of there and swaping in a t-56 which leads me here, as im sure most of you know way more about the t56 than the G body guys not to give em/us/me a bad name but posted a thread had 81 views with no replys [:@] im just trying to figure out if a ls1 transmission will bolt up to a lt1 bell housing and if all dimesions are the same input shaft, spline count, depth, diameter, ect. i have the clutch pedal and trans crossmember and i can get an ls1 minus bellhousing for 800.00 will the hydraulics for an lt1 bolt up?? sorry im not too familiar with the manual stuff, and sorry if this is in the wrong "subject area" any help will be appreciated thanks - Shawn
